Why We Built This Site
Maryland gives the public genuine access to court and agency records, but the state spreads that access wide. A judge or a District Court commissioner issues the order. The clerk where the case was filed keeps the file. The sheriff's warrant unit serves criminal warrants, child-support warrants, and criminal summonses, and it can say whether process has been assigned. A civil body attachment follows its own route through the Civil Process Unit. Maryland publishes no statewide public roster of open warrants, so a person who checks one system, finds nothing, and stops there can reach the wrong conclusion.
This site pulls the contact details, search behavior, number formats, and request steps for those offices into one reference, so a reader arrives at the correct counter with the right information in hand.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant lookups: how to run a warrant lookup by name, date of birth, or case number through Maryland Case Search and the clerks who hold the file
- Outstanding warrants: how to check for outstanding warrants and what an active, served, or satisfied status really means
- Missed court dates: how bench warrant searches begin with a failure to appear and which court holds the order
- Charge-based warrants: how arrest warrants are reviewed by a commissioner or judge and served in Calvert County
- Clearing an order: the routes that resolve a warrant, from counsel and a scheduled appearance to a preset bond or a motion to recall
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to any Maryland court, the Calvert County Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. The limits are real:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant in any system
- We cannot post bond or accept payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a walk-through appearance
- We cannot give legal advice or say how a particular warrant applies to you
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or record detail here is current at this moment
Only the court that issued a warrant or the sheriff's warrant unit that holds it can confirm whether it exists and whether it has been recalled or satisfied. We can point you to the office that answers, but the answer has to come from that office.
Search Partners
Some pages carry search boxes operated by outside companies. Those providers set their own prices and run their own services. If a search leads to a paid signup, we may receive a referral fee, and that revenue helps keep this reference free to read. We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain, and a partner result is not an official warrant check.
